Geraldine Virginia Manogue, age 98, of Janesville died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home. Geraldine was born March 4, 1919 in Johnstown Township, Rock County. The daughter of Miles and Elizabeth (Kemmett) Malone, she married Emmett J. Manogue on September 18, 1945 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Whitewater. Mr. & Mrs. Manogue farmed for many years on the family farm in Johnstown Township. Geraldine was a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Janesville. Surviving are 3 children, Mary Agnes (Dennis) Chartier, Elizabeth Ellen (Terrence) Boland, Michael Emmett Manogue, 7 grandchildren, Sean Boland, Bridget (Scott) Cardinali, Sarah (Chad) Sime, Timothy (Heather) Boland, Leland Chartier, Lisa Chartier, Kurt (Jennifer ) Chartier, a daughter-in-law, Karen Manogue, 14 great-grandchildren, Kiera, Danielle, Brendan, Hannah, Ryan Boland, Dominic, Morgan, Brynn Cardinali, Carson, Rita, Johanna, Mary Sime, Jack and Emma Boland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Manogue in January of 2011, by her son John Philip Manogue in October 2012, a son, James Dennis Manogue who died in infancy, by 4 sisters, Mary Agnes Malone, Teresa (Floyd) Sturtevant, Elizabeth (Edward) Thompson, Gertrude (Thomas) McCabe and her brother, Clayton (Annabelle) Malone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church with Father Rob Butz presiding Visitation will be at the Church on Friday, November 17th from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milton. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Nursing Home or Mercy Hospice. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
